Yards to Tons Converter
This is a quick tool you can access in the event you want to make a quick calculation on how much material you need and then convert it into tons to place an order.
How the Converter Works
Start with the dimensions of the area you want to cover.
It's crucial to measure the length and width accurately in feet. Even a fraction of a foot can make a significant difference. For instance, 10’ 3” should be converted into 10.25 feet.
Then, provide the depth of the material you need. The depth is entered as inches.
Select the “Calculate” button and generate the number of cubic yards.
In many cases, suppliers sell their products in tons. Ask your supplier what they use as a conversion factor from Cubic Yards to Tons. Multiply the pounds provided by your supplier by the number of cubic yards to generate the total number of tons you need of the material.
